New cohort begins Diploma in Practice Management for AMS

June 25, 2021 By Cultural Education Unit

The sixth cohort to undertake our unique and nationally recognised Diploma in Practice Management for Aboriginal Medical Services, started their first block of education this week.

The second day included the students engaging in a ‘yarning circle’ on their cultural experience excursion to the Campbelltown Campus of TAFE NSW with the TAFE Aboriginal Education and Engagement team.

Unfortunately, the evolving COVID-19 situation in Greater Sydney meant we had to cut the block short on the third day. However, we’re looking forward to the second block of education later in the year.

The diploma was developed by GP Synergy in collaboration with TAFE Digital, and we’d like to thank TAFE for hosting the students for this wonderful cultural experience.

“I would definitely recommend working in an Aboriginal medical service! You get great support, it’s welcoming and everyone is prepared to teach and take you along for the ride.”
